Its been a lovely day to be in the garden today, makes a change to the wet and windy August we have been having. There are some new photos in the garden gallery to give you an idea of what I have been up to this last week. I will try and update again later in the week.

I have finally finished the update to Mick’s gallery tonight its only took me three days LOL. And some general ongoing site maintenance. We have a long weekend here in the UK so if the weathers fine I will be working in the garden trying to ignore all the General Election crap on the radio. If its wet. Well the house work wont do its self.

Well I’m back, last May (2009) I lost all connectivity with this web site. I tried on several occasions to talk with the supposed technical support team at my hosting company www.1and1.co.uk and it was like bashing my head up a brick wall. They just kept asking me the same questions. Most of them intimating that it was my Pc that was to blame and nothing wrong at their end. Well after nine months it looks like I’m back up and running. I was told by an independent IT company that It was a well known problem throughout the IT world what my site was suffering from. So today I put 1and1 on notice and told them I was preparing to cancel and making a formal complaint. And will be writing to the head offices. What can I say, I had a phone call at home tonight from an individual that said they were a Director of 1and1. We talked and they said that they would pass me on to a person that could help me out. So I spoke to this person and they said they had a good idea what was wrong. After less than 5 mins I was told yes it was an error on the server that was doing something with a file (I did not understand a word). OH THE JOYS. They asked if I had a back up of the site, I said yes. They deleted my site off their server and said I should now upload my site from scratch I had a look on line and yes my web site was gone. I thought progress. I uploaded the site again and what do I find.... The site works. YES! Why did I have to wait 9 months for management to get involved? Why wasn’t this resolved in the first weeks? Well these questions will never be answered. But I am now actively looking for a new hosting company for this web site and the company web site. Anyway it looks like I’m back and in business, at long last.

Mothers Day, I hope all the mothers that come here have had a wonderful day and that their kids have spoilt them. My mother has gone away for a long weekend so I wont be seeing her until Monday, but hello Mom and have a wonderful day xx

At last the first day of spring the vernal equinox. I hate it when the first of march comes around and people say spring is here or Autumn depending which hemisphere you live ARRR go and get an education. Soap box rant over, you will have me going on about haych or as the dictionary says aych next. Any way LOL back to the update, I have some new photos of the garden to post showing the joys of the spring flowers and buds. Im getting to grips now with my new camera and the macro settings. Im having a bit of a strop at the moment with Tiscali too. charging for a service that was cancelled months ago and still saying their invoices are valid, go figure. What have I been eating, all this ranting LOL I hope your all doing fine.

Half a year since I put fingers to key board. I would be broke if i ran this site as a business LOL. But its not thank goodness. There have been plenty of updates over the last few weeks. One of my Aussie mates now has his own photo page and a new video of the snow in Jan 2009.
I still cant get the John Williamson office to answer any of my e-mails. So I have no idea if I will ever get the CD I Paid for in July last year, makes me mad.

What a busy week its been. Had a house full this week with two wonderful people I have known on line for three or four years. But we have only just met in real life. Although we did give it a bash a couple of years back. but diary conflicts had other plans. But we have done it now. There are some photos of our day out on the places to visit page. I have had my orders no that I have to get my passport renewed and get over to Sweden next year. Sound like fun. Good people and good conversation, count me in. Still getting my head around my Drs visit last week but my guests were a good distraction. But now they have gone I must face reality and come to terms with things, may be more on this later...British Telecom or the royal mail need to get there acts together too as tis week I have received a phone bill dated December 2002, now thats slow post. Snail Mail LOL

Well It has been 5 month since my last update, how embarrassing LOL. It has been an up and down summer. lots and lots of rain and plenty of flooding for almost every town. So there hasn’t been much happening in the garden. The trees are now loosing their leaves big time. So I must get out there this week and clear them in to the compost while I still can. I’m back under the specialist again and I have got to go back in to hospital on Friday 02nd November. A second biopsy. I’m not looking forward to that. The first one was bad enough.

Some small updates this month. Spring is just around the corner so the Spring update is being rolled out. The links page has been updated. Also one of the Australia pages have been rebuilt as I had a site problem. Mick has added some more of his Aussie photos. This week is going to be a bad one, I have to renew my gas qualifications every five years and it falls in this week. Talk about stressing out.

Over the last three days we have had a big dumping of snow, well big for us. It snowed most of yesterday and then started today at midday and it was still coming down at 9.05pm. I have taken some photos of the snow and put them in a new gallery, I hope you enjoy them.

Wow two updates in a month. It has been a nice and quiet Christmas this year. I had a busy time in the kitchen but it was all fun. I really need to get in to the garden and do some weed clearing this week as I have let thing slide out there. Thank you to all my national and international mates for the Christmas cards, they were lovely, thanks. There have been a couple of updates this week, the Christmas decorations are now down and the links page has a couple of new additions. The my gallery has also been updated. Good luck for 2007.

It has been a strange year for many reasons and I don’t think it will be one I will forget in a while. I have made some new friends and lost an old one who will never be forgotten. I have met some wonderful people for the first time that I have talked to for years. And thanks to technology I will continue to talk to. The world would be a lonely place without friends. My heart goes out to every one who has a loved one overseas at the moment fighting the war for oil and not forgetting the brave men and women doing the fighting. I hope and wish for a peaceful 2007 for us all. Merry Christmas and have a safe new year.

It has been to long since my last update, sorry. September went well I met with Chow and his good lady. They are two of the nicest people, I had a really good time. October came and went I broke my toe, its still painful. I have just about got Ped house trained. And happy birthday to my Friends Klaus and Kimmy. November, Bonfire night was horrid for the dogs, they just didn’t know where to turn. I’m still on sick leave its been ten months now and still no news from my biopsy back in the summer. I’m at the end of my tether. I hope the next update wont take so long

The weather here has cooled down very dramatically along with strange grey clouds. Chow is now in England working down the country. We are hoping to meet this weekend. Its feels like every one is travelling at the moment, I'm so jealous. Chow My Aussie mate and his wife are winging their way to Europe as I write this entry. I hope they enjoy their mini world tour and especially the English part, LOL. There has been a small update on the Australia page with the addition of some photos from Marguerite. Summer is here an the weather is warm. It has been some time since the last update. The Australia pages have been updated a little and some updates to the garden pages as well. There are some more photos of the garden to be posted so check back. My friend Klaus will be arriving on our fair shores this week so all the best and have a good holiday. Thanks to every one who told me about the dead link to Aussie country I think it has been fixed now but only on the links page. I now have a date for my hospital admission. Its freaking me out big time. But hopefully I will now be on the road to knowing what’s up.

I’m starting to get into a routine now, but it is still strange not going in to work every day. Plus not being at work is getting expensive.
Its spring next week and the flowers are starting to come through in the garden. I’m going to see if I’m up to doing some more gardening now the sun has started to shine, intermittently.
I have completely rebuilt the Oz page it is now the Australia page with a choices of galleries. I’m thinking of putting some Australian links on there as well for music shopping etc, let me know what you think. The new gallery is for people to send me their photos of Australia. You can give me a short write up about the photo if you wish and you will be credited as with the other pages and as always e-mail addresses will not be posted unless you request otherwise. I have changed some of the news to me items and don’t forget you can send me news items from your area. But please remember to give me the name of the news paper, date and page number.

A few more updates this week. I have added some jokes to the Joke page and Tracy’s joke page. The garden page has been updated with a couple of photos and a video of the snow this week. I have still been going to work on light duties but I think I'm going to have to rethink on that as I’m now starting to get pain down my right side from time to time its not nice.

Well another year over and it has not been a bad one all in all.
I have taken down the Christmas decorations for another twelve months, I hope you enjoyed them. There has only been one update this week not as many as I wanted though. I have done another programme update I’m now on Fusion 9. I have now had a new hospital appointment come through to see the consultant. Lets hope this time I can find some good news for a change. This is all getting me down. I’m now officially off work for the next two months or so.

The My Travels page has been updated a little, My gallery has also been updated and a couple of jokes added. I had some disturbing news form the hospital this week and some more blood tests. They just keep finding things. But I must look on the bright side of life.

I’m still getting to grips with the new site programme. The weather has now started to change, the leaves are starting to fall of the trees now so winter is on its way. Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been updating as and when I can. Thanks for the well wishes I’m feeling much better. I have now been officially diagnosed with Arthritis. Keyboard usage is sometimes a killer hence the lack of updates.

I’m planing on changing the web site programme over the next month, so fingers crossed I should be giving the site a new look.
